”Theatre Fredag” was founded in 1983 when actor and director
Anders Alnemark invited Keith Johnstone to Sweden for a series of seminares
on improvisation.
It was a successful collaboration and a few years later Jonstone
directed the play ”Robinson Crusoe” with Anders in the lead.
The play was very well recieved and the company took the name "Robinson Crusoe
& Fredags Vänner". In 2008 the company decided to change its name to "Theatre
Fredag" (Fredag = swedish for Friday).
Since then, we have been touring the country with plays for adults as well as for youth and children.
Theatre Fredag does not have their own ensemble but collaborates with a lot of different actors, musicians, stage designers and artists from other fields.

Anders Alnemark

Anders has been working in the field of theatre since 1972. He has been working as an actor in several plays at Riksteatern and with free groups. He founded Theater fredag in 1986. |

Kaj Granander
- producer, light- and stage designer Kaj has been working with most tasks within the free group field for more than 30 years, for example 12 years with Jordcirkus. Has been working with Theatre Fredag since 2000 as a technician and admininstrator / producer. Made the stage design and light design for "Virgins". |

Anders Nyström
- composer
Anders is composer and editor for film soundtracks. Composed the music for "Hanna, Huset, Hunden" and "Virgins". Has composed music for more than 80 thatres plays. He also works with music and sound for television, documentary film and exhibitions. |
